Co-Parenting Following Divorce Workshop
Workshops held on the second Saturday of each month from 9am-1pm
Parents are encouraged to join this workshop together or separately. Co-Parenting Following Divorce is suitable for any parent needing to satisfy the courts divorce education class. This workshop is an entry-level class for co-parents in high-conflict situations. The essence of the workshop is to begin to teach parents important communication skills for co-parenting their child or children for life.

The following topics will be covered:
- The needs of children of divorce
- Authoritative parenting
- Attachment theory and how it relates to overnights for infants and children
- The emotional impact of divorce on adults and children
- Communication skills
- What is a co-parenting relationship and how to achieve it
- The process of divorce
- The grief/loss process
- Effects of ongoing parental conflict on children
- Conflict resolution skills
- Domestic violence/child abuse and/or neglect/substance abuse
- Responsibilities of parents of divorce
- How to keep children out of the middle of parental conflict
- Parenting responsibility (parenting time schedules and decision-making)

Parenting Class
Classes held on Tuesday nights from 630pm-800pm
The goals of the classes are:
- Reduce the amount of disagreement and tension between the parents.
- Increase the ability of the parents to interact in a more cooperative way.
- Improve the communication between the children/adolescents and their parents.
- Improve a family’s ability to problem solve difficult situations.
- Support active coping in the children/adolescents.
